Spraying, dipping and brushing are techniques which are used to create functional coatings. When applying the dip coating system, the substrate is immersed into the functional ink formulation. By carefully defining the speed of withdrawal, the outer viscosity, temperature and other influential external conditions before withdrawing the substrate, an even coating can be created. Next to dipping the substrate into the functional ink, it is also possible to spray the ink onto the substrate by using a spraying gun. This wet coating process is commonly used to create coatings that cover large surfaces. Last but not least, it is also possible to brush the functional ink onto a substrate with a painting brush.
